Health Care Professional Services and Assessments

Situation: The governing body of a health care profession undertakes period surveys of members and general public clients as input into improving member programs and services and monitoring the profession’s public profile.
Method: Two surveys were distributed to all members by mail or e-mail with over 2600 respondents to each. 2000 telephone interviewers were conduct across Canada among people who have heard of the profession.
Outcome: The findings from the member and general public reports were used to investigate present and future market trends, lobbying activities, negotiating fee structures, marketing the profession, and to set priority areas for activities, improving communications, and assessing satisfaction and agreement with processes and activities.
