Our Collection of Personal Information

All the research conducted by IntelliPulse is based on voluntary participation by you, the respondent, and the voluntary disclosure of information to specific questions. IntelliPulse typically collects basic demographic information, opinions, attitudes and behaviour as part of our questionnaire design.

In the course of conducting survey research IntelliPulse sometimes collects personal identifying information (name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.) for purposes of re-contacting you to verify your survey participation. We occasionally ask respondents whether we can contact them again for a specifically stated purpose. You have the option of denying us permission to re-contact you, and we respect that response.

Personal Information does not include such information as your name, business title or business address and business telephone numbers in your capacity as an employee or customer of an organization. However, in your capacity as an employee or customer of an organization in one of our surveys, your responses to our questions are treated as Personal Information and will not be divulged without your explicit consent.

Our Use of Personal Information

All Personal Information is strictly for the intended research purposes stated at the outset of our questionnaire. The information is kept anonymous and confidential. The Personal Information we collect is combined with that of other respondents and grouped into categories for analysis and reporting purposes. Only aggregated data are provided to our clients unless we obtain explicit consent from individual respondents to divulge their responses. We never share personal identifying information (name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.) with any third party unless we explicitly ask for permission and as permitted by law.

Our Retention of the Information

Unless respondent agreement is explicitly obtained through a verbal or written response request, electronic files and hard copy questionnaires are stripped of personal identifying information within 6 months of collecting the information. Consent to provide Personal Information to a third party or for further research purposes is valid for 6 months, after which the information is destroyed.
