An association identified several benefits to limiting the speed of trucks and wished to understand the potential reaction to mandated speed limiters among the public and truck drivers.

IntelliPulse completed 500 telephone interviews among the public across the province, and 60 face-to-face quantitative interviewers and 57 small group discussions among truck drivers intercepted at truck stops.

Outcome:

The report provided a detailed discussion of the perceived contributors to highway collisions and reactions to the proposed speed limiters. The client was successful in gaining government support for legislating mandatory speed governors on transport trucks.
